First off I would strongly recommend that you have two pairs of hands to build this barbecue, it is large and cumbersome to build on your own. The box it comes in is over 15Kg but when broken down in to the sections each piece isn't heavy in and of itself but some of them (the drum and lid especially) are unwieldy to build on your own.As you can tell, yes, I did build this with no assistance and it took me 90 minutes. I could have probably shaved quite a bit off that if I'd had someone to help hold the bracing struts for the legs in place whilst I screwed them in and to hold the base up in line with the legs, etc..You will need a crosshead/phillips screwdriver with two different sizes of bit. For some unknown reason the screws to attach the lid are a smaller crosshead screw than every other bolt on the build. Each part of the unit comes labelled with a number. In theory these are identified in the instruction manual. However, I did find that some of my leg pieces were in a bag with a different number on. I just figured out which piece I needed based on the image and went from there.Overall, good and sturdy once built and it definitely got a test being dragged from the kitchen, over the step and in to my yard area. It rattled a lot as I had already placed the grids in it but nothing fell off.The yellow label does instruct to remove it before cooking - yeah, good luck with that it has a really strong adhesive on the back and does not want to come off. I ended up having to use an over the counter product to get all the bits off.You get two metal grids with the barbecue - one for the coals to lay on and then the cooking grid. The cooking grid has a front centre hatch so you can add additional fuel if needed. These are both made from a thick metal and I haven't had any warping or bending issues on my first cook. Cleaning the used ashes is a real pain as both grills need to be removed and then you need to shovel them out. A barbecue of this size really needs a hatch or something on the underneath to make this easier - it's not like you can tip the cold ashes in to the bin.The tray grid I was sceptical about but it really does not spill items off it when you shut the lid on the barbecue. I put some precooked items that basically just needed heating up in there whilst cooking the staples of sausages and burgers. This worked well as they items were nicely warmed through without becoming dried out. The temperature gauge does work but I haven't checked it's accuracy with a calibrated thermometer and I feel this is more useful for people using this as a smoker. As a barbecue it did what I needed and instead of having to batch cook I could get everything on one grill and then close the lid and allow the built up heat to speed up the process.Overall, a decent barbecue option if you have a large family or entertain fairly often.
