I’ve used this lovely machine 5 times now, successfully.
My very first time, I successfully hatched 5 out of 6 Indian Runner duck eggs... 6 days ago.
Small unit for a small nos off eggs, we had a 100% hatch rate with seven eggs. It kept the humidity well and there was plenty of space. It arrived quickly and well packaged. Basic and straight forward. The instruction were a bit strange but i just ignored them as the set up was so easy.
I put 12 quail eggs in the incubator and hatched 8 out of the 11 fertile eggs.
Love the egg tray for the auto turning. Could tell it had moved as it was at either the front or back position of the pallette it was on. Egg tray rails perfect for each egg size.
The Incubator temperature setting was a bit off by about 2 degrees C. I used a few hygrometers for accuracy of internal temperature and humidity. It does blink at you if the humidity is too high ('H') when adding water to the water bath. If the incubator has been opened for a bit and the temperature goes down abit it also blinks at you with an 'L' on the LED screen.
I bought this to hatch some fertilised duck eggs from ebay, having never incubated before. The product has an odd packaging smell when it arrives but I washed it and sterilised with Milton fluid and left it to air and the smell went - give be put off! It was very simple to operate and the temperature kept perfectly and was very easy to read and adjust at the right incubation time. There is a small hole in the lid which makes it perfect for adding water to keep the humidity up (this isn't the case with all incubators). I placed 12 duck eggs in the incubator and now have 8 gorgeous ducklings:
