I bought this strimmer particularly for light strimming around trees, shrubs, lawn edges, and awkward corners etc. that I cannot get to with the lawn mower. I already own a petrol powered 'proper' strimmer, but as it is quite large and cumbersome it is best suited for strimming rough ground like e.g. banks and verges etc.
What I love about his strimmer, and the reason I decided to buy it, is that it is very lightweight, quick to grab from the shed when needed, and once the smaller jobs are done it goes right back into the shed, where it takes up very little space. Tilting the rotary head on the drive shaft will allow you to do some edge trimming in the vertical plane, supported by the little plastic wheel, which I have not really used yet but might come in quite handy too.
